Pay: This position has a fixed pay rate of $55/hour

Experience: Prior nursing experience.

Education: Current Hawaii RN license in good standing.

Type: Full-time; Contract  

Schedule: Evening Shift, 3:00pm to 11:30pm

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:  

1.  Administer treatments and medications to residents
2. Conduct ongoing resident assessments
3. Coordinate and document individualized care plans
4. Serve as the immediate coordinator of an assigned unit, overseeing the work of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
5. Step in as unit supervisor in the absence of the Charge Nurse
6. Provide high-quality, resident-focused care in an onsite skilled nursing environment

Position Requirements:

1. Ability to perform CPR; current CPR certification
2. Strong critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate resident care needs and treatments
3. General understanding of managing resident moods and behaviors
4. Supervisory skills to enforce work rules, cooperate with other departments, and keep resident information strictly confidential
5. Excellent communication skills with staff, residents, responsible parties, and all others involved in resident care
