Position: Nurse Reviewer (RN or LPN) 

Location: Honolulu, HI (Remote)

Pay: This position has a fixed rate of $42/hour

Experience: 2 years of clinical, case management, or utilization management experience

Education:

1. Current, unrestricted Hawaii nursing license as an RN or LPN (proof of licensure provided by employee or confirmed by Human Resources upon hire)
2. Associate degree in Nursing

Type: Full-time or Part-time; Contract  

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Nurse Reviewer (RN or LPN) to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:  

1. Review clinical information and medical records against current standards of care for a given diagnosis
2. Evaluate medical tests and procedures against normative values
3. Support utilization and medical management activities
4. Screen and review electronic claims, as well as UB-04 and CMS-1500 claim forms
5. Document findings clearly and accurately, and communicate with team members verbally and in writing

Position Requirements:    

1. Knowledge of current standards of care for a given diagnosis and the normative values of medical tests and procedures
2. Strong organizational and analytical skills
3. Good verbal and written communication skills
4. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
5. Ability to report to work on time as scheduled
