This is not a remote role. Applicants must be able to report to work on time as scheduled.  

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (Long Term Care)

Location: Honolulu, HI (Free Parking Provided!)

Pay: This position has a fixed rate of $36/hour

Experience/Education: Current Hawaii LRN license in good standing

Type: Full-time; Temp to Perm

Schedule: Evening or Overnight Shift

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (Long Term Care) to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:  

1. Administer treatments and medications to residents.
2. Conduct ongoing assessments involving residents.
3. Coordinate and document individualized care plans.
4. Serve as the immediate coordinator of an assigned unit.
5. Oversee the work of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA's).
6. Step in as the unit supervisor in the absence of the Charge Nurse.
7. Maintain resident information with utmost confidentiality.

Position Requirements:

1. Possess strong critical thinking abilities.
2. A general understanding of managing the moods and behaviors of residents.
3. Supervisory skills to enforce work rules.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Current CPR and First Aid certification.
